47 Months! (Candor)

My sweet little Candor man is now 47 months old. I cannot believe in one short month he will be 4 years old!?!? Can you tell he is getting a bit excited?  Also - I'll give you one guess as to what theme he picked out for his birthday party. This month he went on his very first date with a little girl named Parker.  Parker is in the class above him at his preschool.  He's already going after the older ladies!  Parker's mom texted me and and said that Parker would like to invite Candor to go eat.  Candor was on the fence until he learned that we were going to Homeslice to eat pizza and then he was all about it.  They had a blast and they gave each other sweet little hugs at the end. For the past month or so there have been sunflowers growing along the path we take to the park.  Since we go all the time we have watched this particular sunflower grow from a tiny little sprout to this humongous tree (as we like to now call it).  We ...

Father's Day 2018

Celebrating Father's Day this year was just about as fun and awesome as Todd is!  To kick off the weekend Todd got to go to Candor's preschool for Donuts with Dad. Candor was so excited.  Todd was taking him to school, it was splash day, but I think he was most excited about getting to ride in Todd's new 'race' car! When they got to school Candor gave Todd his Father's Day craft from school and showed him all the cars in his new classroom. We let Todd sleep in on Father's Day morning.  This little guy was super excited for his daddy to wake up!  Also, how cute is his little pony?! After Todd got up we headed to the Farmer's Market at Mueller. Todd and the boys found a guy making balloon characters so they decided to get some.  Candor, of course, requested a police dog K-9. He was so extremely proud of it. The balloon guy made Townes a pacifier alien.  Townes was obsessed with his as well. Can...

2018 First Day of Summer School (Candor)

After a week break from school Candor started his first day of Summer School.   Candor was super pumped to be going back to school and Townes and I were a little bummed because we had so much fun with him the week before.  Below Townes is either begging Candor to stay home or he's working on a poop.... Since Candor is no longer an Owl he moved up to Mr. Jeff's room and will now be a Fish.  Mr. Jeff took off work for the summer to spend time with his family so a sweet teacher named Ms. Brittany will be heading up the Fish for a few months.  I'm not going to lie - I teared up a bit dropping Candor off as Mr. Jeff's room looked more like a classroom than just a little baby or toddler room.  Don't get me wrong there were still boocoodles of play things but just looking at the big tables and such kind of got to me. After secretly wiping off my tears I went over to Candor to tell him bye and that I was going to miss him.  He just looked ...

2017-2018 Last Day of School (Candor)

May 24th was Candor's last day in the Owl Room.   Here is a side by side picture of him on the first day of being an owl and the last day of being an owl.  I cannot believe how my little baby practically turned into a big boy in one school year... Not only was it Candor's last day as an owl but it was Ms. Suzy's last day to teach at the preschool.  I'm so sad about this because I loved Ms. Suzy.  She is the sweetest teacher and I'm sad I won't get to see her everyday and I'm really sad that Townes will not have the opportunity to be in her class. For Ms. Suzy's last day the kids filled out a form all about her. Candor also made her a card and gave her a few gifts.   The night of the last day of school the preschool held graduation for the older kids and then a school wide picnic.  Candor and Townes both had a blast. Now we will see if we can beat the Texas summer heat...for a week at least unt...
