Graduation!

Ya'll....Townes graduated from his helmet!!!  I am so happy to finally be able to kiss his little head every single second of the day without that helmet getting in my way. On December 8 we went to the the doctor to do another assessment.  He was either going to graduate or have to get a second helmet and wear it for 3 more months.  Eeeek.  I thought his head looked very good going into the appointment but didn't want to get my hopes up and then have them crushed.  Well...after the assessment our therapist came in and told us that his head looked awesome and a second helmet was not recommended.  I literally almost cried.  She then gave Townes his graduation certificate and we jetted out of there and will never have to go back!  Woooohoooo!!! Candor asked if Townes' graduation certificate was for him as well.  I said heck yes, it is for all of us!  Townes wore it, Candor went with us to every single appointment, and Todd and I scrubbe...

2017 Thanksgiving with a Side of South Padre (Trip 2)

We had an amazing Thanksgiving this year!  We started off the festivities with a Thanksgiving feast at Candor's school.  They made the cutest little turkey hats and they all wore them during the feast. After eating we all sat around and played under the big tree. Townes is a flipping hit with the ladies at scool.  Instead of playing they usually just come and sit by him.  They all talk, giggle, and hug him.  He LOVES the attention. The weekend before Thanksgiving Nana and Pop Pop came to Austin and we had an early Thanksgiving. This is the best picture we got of Candor with Nana and Pop Pop.  He was too busy playing to sit still. We then hit the road to South Padre Island for the week of Thanksgiving.  Candor had so much fun at 'his' condo over 4th of July that we had to go again.   Loaded up and leaving Austin! Candor and Townes were awesome little travelers. As soon as we arrived we...

2017 Halloween!

Halloween this year was so incredibly fun!  We took advantage of every activity.  Almost every afternoon Candor, Townes, and I would walk around and look at all the Halloween decorations in the neighborhood.  Candor's favorite house was a few blocks away.  Everyday he would say lets go look at the big blowup guy! We decorated Townes' helmet! Townes also broke out Candor's old Halloween outfit and sported it a few days. We went to a pumpkin patch with some buddies.  They both loved looking at all the pumpkins. We got 'booed' for the first time!  Since we got boo'ed we had to boo two buddies.  Candor got really into this.  Nanna happened to be in town so she got to go with him.  He would be really quite, sneak up to the door, leave the pumpkin, and then race back to the end of the drive way.  It was so stinking cute. For Halloween I wanted us all to dress up like scary clowns but Candor was...
