Candor goes to Townes

Candor had his last day of summer school this session.  This was also backwards day.  HA! He had the best time with Ms. Suzi and all his buddies, especially Jake.  Here is a picture of his and all his classmates playing in the sand table with Ms. Suzi. 

Candor's last week of Summer School this session was called Wacky Week.  He LOVED participating in all the activities and could not wait to show all his buddies and Ms. Suzy what he had on. Tuesday was crazy hat day.  Candor said he wanted to wear a Santa Clause hat so a Santa Clause hat he wore! Wednesday was crazy sock day and he wore a pair of Chewbacca socks. He really loves these socks. When I picked him up he ran straight to me and showed me this awesome snake tattoo that Ms. Andrea's daughter (high school student)  gave him on the playground.  He then ran immediately to Townes and shoved it in his face to show him.  Poor little Townes never knows what or who is going to be all up in his business every time we walk into the preschool. Thursday was backwards day so he wore all his clothes backwards! They celebrated the end of the school year by having snow cones.  He was so cute sitting with all his buddies enjoying his treat. ...

Townes was baptized on July 23 (Candor's birthday)!  We decided since the grandparents would already be in town for Candor's birthday party that it was the perfect time for the baptism as well. The baptism lasted all of 5 minutes but it felt like 5 hours as we were a hot mess up there.  Townes cried for a majority of it and Candor was very squiggly and kept hitting Todd's head.  We all looked pretty dang snazzy though. Townes getting ready for his big moment!  His little outfit came with a hat but we decided against wearing it.  How adorable is he though?? Bulletin listing the Baptism. Candor had his 3 year appointment Dr. D!  It was amazing to go this year as Candor could communicate with Dr. D. and follow all of his instructions.  I just sat back and watched proudly! Todd couldn't come to this appointment because of a meeting at work.  It was his very first well visit that he has ever missed since Candor was born.  Fortunately, Nana was in town so she got to come! Once they called us back Candor got his weight and height checked.  He weighed 30 lbs which is the 50th percentile.  I didn't catch what his exact height was but he is in the 70th percentile. Candor really liked Dr. D.  If you look in the below pic at his face he is smiling so big.  Dr. D. said that Candor was perfect!  Candor then got a flu shot on his little leg.  I was nervous that it would hurt and he would cry but he took it like a champ!  He just said that is stung a bi...

Another birthday means another birthday party!  Candor was excited about his friends coming over but SUPER EXCITED about the presents that they may bring! The past couple of years we would invite a couple of his friends and a couple of our friends.  This year it was a straight up kid party!  We had 16 little nut jobs running around. Before the party we took him to Party City so he could pick out his decorations.  We looked and looked at everything and he finally settled on a Hot Wheels themed party.  We got Hot Wheels balloons, plates, napkins, table cloth, and table decorations.  Since it's July and it's a billion degrees outside we also decided to grab some water items for the kids to play with in the backyard.  We ended up buying a slip in slide that is for ages 5+.  Smart right?
