First Professional Haircut (Townes)

On Saturday, November 3 my sweet little bubs got his first haircut.  Candor and Todd were already getting their hair cut so we decided to see if Townes would mind a little snip to get rid of his mullet.  I honestly didn't think he would allow us to cut his hair but we popped a sucker in his mouth and off Ms. Lacey went to cutting! He was super excited to head to church the next day to show off his new do to all the ladies.

Soccer - Season 1! (Candor)

Candor just successfully completed his first soccer season.  This was Candor's first time playing in an organized sport and he did great.  He learned so much about the game and especially about being on a team and working with his teammates. The season lasted about 10 weeks with practice every Tuesday evening and games on Saturday mornings. At his first practice he was given his jersey and got number 5.  He was so pumped.  5 is Sebastian Vettel's Ferrari number and therefore his favorite number. Here are a few more snaps of Candor throughout the season. At the end of each game the parents form a tunnel for the kids to run through.  This was Candor's favorite part.  They all laughed and laughed and made several runs through.  After the final game of the season Coach Adam gave them each a medal and said a little something about each of them.  He said that Candor always came to the...

2018 Formula One

Last year Todd and Candor went to the Formula One races at the Circuit of the Americas and had a blast.  Since Townes was only 6 months old then we decided to hang back at the house.  This year Townes is older and also seems to have a love for cars so we all decided to go as a family.   We bought tickets for the whole weekend and went every day.   On Friday our plan was to arrive and immediately go to the souvenir shop to get the boys their gear.  Candor was so excited to be heading out and Townes had no idea what greatness he was about to experience. Our parking spot was about 3 miles from the souvenir shop, food, and good spectating areas so we loaded the boys up in the stroller and started booking it.  It was a very long muddy walk but the boys were living it up.  They loved being able to see and hear the cars and look at all the people.  Once we arrived at the shop the line was so long but we powered through ...

2018 Halloween!

Do you think September 8th is too early to start decorating for Halloween?  Me either so that is just what we did on that lovely Saturday.  We decorated both inside AND outside our house.  Our neighbors either love it or think we are a little batty...probably the latter but who cares! Chalkboard walls were decorated. We put up all of our inside decorations.  For some reason, this is the only pic I took.  Arg! Window clings were put on the windows. Pumpkins, ghosts, and witches feet were placed in the front yard. We hung our scary guy (Candor named him Windmill) on the front door.   This year I also bought a Halloween tree.  I flipping loved it and so did the boys.  We let Candor stay up late one night after Townes went to bed to help decorate it.  We put on some Halloween tunes, let him have some M&M's and we decorated up a storm.  He had so much fun. Townes was ve...
