24 Months! (Townes)

My littlest best friend is now 24 months old.  2 years old!?!  How is that even possible. He is the happiest boy, his vocabulary is out of this world, he blows kisses to everyone and is pretty much just a dream. This month we started teaching him how to ride the Strider bike. He got to go to the Indy Car races and spend the day with Uncle Travis. He and Candor have wrestled like no other.  They are the very definition of boys. I have given him lots of horse rides. We have also played merMOM and merSONS. The night before his actual birthday we laid out his presents and balloons.  Ignore the fact that I only had newspaper to wrap his present!  Ha! We walked into his room singing Happy Birthday to wake him up.  This kid LOVED being the center of attention.  All day he kept saying, 'It's My Birthday!!'.  He also wanted us to sing Happy Birthday to him at least 100 times.   ...

57 Months! (Candor)

My little love bug is now 57 months old! It has been another super busy month for my little guy.  These past few weeks have been tough on this poor momma because I feel as though he is growing up just a bit too fast for my liking. We took off his training wheels on his big boy bike!  He still has some work to do but he is getting there.  I cannot believe it. Travis came into town and we went with him to the Indy Car races.  It was so fun hanging out with him for the day. They have a kid's workshop at Home Depot the first Saturday of every month.  Todd took him this month and they had an absolute blast making this adorable little bird house. He has been interested in playing a few board games  So far we have played Trouble and Chutes and Ladders.  It is so fun playing these games that I use to play when I was little.   Arby came to see him not once.... but twice!  I'm not sure how we g...

2019 Easter

The boys had an awesome Easter this year. We kicked off the Easter season by going and seeing the Easter Bunny with AK and Navy.  They were so excited while we were making our way to the bunny.   Once they actually saw him they all got a little nervous but were all champs for the photo! They made Easter art. They dyed Easter eggs.  They were fairly neat at first but things went down hill very quickly.  I'm so happy that last minute I decided we needed to do this outside. The night before Easter the boys laid out their baskets and put out carrots for the Easter Bunny. Todd then read them a Curious George Easter book. The next morning when we woke up the Easter Bunny had come!  He filled up their baskets with goodies and even hid some eggs for them in the back yard. Candor was interested in the trucks the bunny left. Townes was more interested in all the chocolate!  Ha! ...
