2018-2019 Last Day of School! (Candor & Townes)

On May 23 Candor & Townes attended their last day of preschool as a turtle and a monkey.   They both had such a wonderful school year and have grown so much.  After a bit of a rough patch during drop offs Townes grew to really love Ms. Mary and school.  By the end of the school year Townes would be running into his classroom to see all his friends and get to playing.  Every night during his prayers he would also make sure to include Ms. Mary. Candor also had the best year with our favorite teacher, Mr. Jeff.  This is Mr. Jeff's last year to teach and I am so bummed that Townes will not get the opportunity to have Mr. Jeff as a teacher.  To celebrate Mr. Jeff all past and present preschoolers  (18 years worth of students!) gave Mr. Jeff a going away party.  All the kids had a blast at the party. Candor's class also made Mr. Jeff a special present to send him off.   Now on to Candor's last ye...

58 Months! (Candor)

My sweet little angel baby is now 58 months!  Look at that beautiful little face.  Swoon... This month Candor has been obsessed with telling jokes.  I've taught him a few such as... Knock Knock Who's There? Interrupting Cow Interrupting Co..... Moooooooooooooooo and Why did the chicken cross the playground? To get to the other slide! and Knock Knock Who's There? Olive Olive Who? Olive You! He has also made up a few.  His favorite one to tell over and over AND OVER again is Knock Knock Who's There? iPad iPad Who? It makes no sense but he thinks it is hilarious.  He has told it so many times that Townes has started telling it too...  Ayaya.  Ha! Candor also completed his second season of soccer.  He is still loving it and getting better each week. He loves to swim.  We let him get a new pair of goggles this summer and he picked out these bad boys.  He loves showing them off to everyone. Cand...

South Padre! (Trip 4)

Back in May (I'm so far behind on my blogs!) we took our 4th family trip to South Padre.  It was seriously the best one yet.  We rented a mini van this trip and it was so nice having all the extra room!  The boys were so excited for the trip and talked about it for weeks leading up to it. We got about 5 minutes down the road and Candor begins asking if we are at the gas station with the toy cars.  He is referring to the Road Ranger that we always stop at and it is literally about 15 minutes to South Padre.  At that point I thought to myself that this was going to be a long trip.  The boys ended up doing really great and they were both super pumped 6 hours later when we finally arrived at the Road Ranger. We decided not to stay in the condo with Candor's favorite Dory Room but stay at a different place called The Pearl.  The Pearl was awesome.  It had a kids pool, big pool, restaurants and easy access to the beach.  Candor was...

25 Months! (Townes)

My little love is now 25 months old! It was a huge month for Mr. T. as we turned his car seat around to face forwards.  He never seemed to mind facing backwards but he sure does love facing forwards.  The little turkey is still working on that thumbs up.  Ha! He has fallen in love with the little trail that we pass going and leaving the preschool. He is a huge fan of water and swimming pools.  We have been going to AK's pool in Lakeway multiple times a week.   He insists on keying in the code to get into the preschool everyday.  It is a LONG drawn out process but we let him have a go at it every morning.  He is practicing his numbers and Candor and I are practicing our patience!  It is a work in progress for everyone. He got another haircut.  Ms. Lacey moved so we are now seeing Mr. Teddy at the Crestview Barber Shop.  The boys love him and he is so sweet to them. Townes has gone on lo...
