Candor goes to Townes

My little bub is now 41 months old! He loves hugging (I know it looks like strangling.), kissing, and stacking things on his brother.  Townes really looks up to Candor and loves any and all attention he gets from him. He has really started to like painting/coloring/drawing and reading a bit more. At night when I put Townes down to sleep Candor gets to choose a book that we will read when I'm done with Townes.  This is how it usually looks when I come out of Townes' room.  He says "Mommy!  I picked the books I want to read!  Let's read them all!!". He really loves to help us do tasks.  On this particular night he helped Todd change the battery in our smoke detector.  He was so proud of himself when the detector quit beeping. He also helped Todd install our new ring doorbell.  He then played with it for a good 3 hours afterwards. Helping me shop at Dia's Market.....with his policema...

Townes is 8 months old! He is constantly moving these days as you can tell by his monthly photos above.  He has also started to crawl.  Only problem is he can only go one way and that is backwards!  It is pretty stinking cute.  He runs into problems often when he backs himself into things and can't get out.  Ha! His first and then second tooth came in. He rode in several rides for the first time.  First up it was the little red car.  They had a blast riding down Madison Avenue together! He then took a spin in the wagon.  They laughed and laughed while riding in this. Townes favorite new thing to ride though was the race car buggy!  Him and Candor had so much fun shopping with me.  They were a hoot. We went to Juiceland and Townes had his first taste of a Home Run sub blueberries for strawberries.  He was a big fan. He saw snow for the first time....in Austin.  We were all a bit shocked!...

My sweet partner in crime is now 40 months old! He ran in his first race!  The Thinkery hosted their first annual Gingerbread Man 1K.  Candor had a blast.  He was very excited to receive his medal at the end and told me and everyone else that he won!  He might have been closer to last place but who cares!  He was a winner in my book. We went and watched one of Todd's soccer games.  He wanted to play in the game so bad.  After watching about 30 minutes of the game he asked me if he could have a number on his jersey.  He said he wanted number 5 so I pulled out the duck tape and made him a number 5.  He then got up and started walking to the field and said he could get in the game since he had a number.  It was so stinking sweet and then sad when I crushed his dreams and told him he couldn't play.  Soon big boy, soon.
