Candor goes to Townes

We had an amazing Christmas.  We were lucky to have everyone come to our house this year!  Nana, Poppy, AK, Aunt Joy, GUB, G, PaPa, Uncle Travis, Aunt Molly, and even Santa came! Candor was spoiled with lots of activities, presents and hugs.  He wishes Christmas was everyday! Our neighborhood places luminaries up and down one of the main streets.  Each night the neighbors go out and light the lights.  We were able to make it out and join one night.   Our church had a Christmas Eve service. It was so much fun having all our family at church with us.  Below is Candor and I during the children's service. I had a fit to get Candor this electronic jeep for Christmas.  Even though the jeep's age limit is 3+ I thought this was the perfect gift for Candor at 17 months...you know - because he is so advanced and all. Florio came over a few weeks ago to give Candor his favorite album of 2015.  We started off the evening by going to eat lunch at Shabu.  We tried hot pots for the first time.  It was a bit confusing how to cook your food at first but we got it down at the end. We decided to bake a red velvet cake for Todd's birthday for dessert.  I left Todd and Florio to the cooking.  When they pulled the cake out of the oven it was the below liquid mess.  Come to find out they forgot to add flour.  Jeeeeez. They had to start over.  They had used all the red food coloring for the first cake so they used blue for the next one.  It looked a bit better after they pulled it out of the oven. Happy 39 Todd!

Candor had some friends over for the Superbowl.  I'm not sure who won....actually I probably couldn't even tell you who played.  All I know is that it was a blast.  We laughed, we sang, we cried, and we danced ... after all, it was a Super Bowl party!  Arleigh, Iris, Jude, and Candor playing in the backyard. Candor had a great 18 Month doctors visit.  We had been the week before as he had ANOTHER ear infection so we were able to make sure the ear antibiotics were working as well as do his well visit. Candor weighed in at 24.4 lbs and is 32 1/2 inches long.  He got two shots, his ears were on the mend, and we don't have to go back to the doctor until he is 2.  2...wow.  After measuring Candor's height we realized he was several inches too long for his car seat.  Dr. D. also told us it was probably best to give up the nightly bottle.  Our little baby is slowly turning into a little boy.
