Candor goes to Townes

Candor had a wonderful Easter this year! He got to have his picture taken with the Easter Bunny!  Candor wasn't quite so sure of him but sat in his lap long enough for a photo. The Easter bunny gave Candor some rabbit ears after their photo.  He wore them when we got home and we practiced hopping.  We still have a ways to go to master the skill. At school they made Easter bags and had an Easter egg hunt.  I got to hide the eggs for them and then I stayed and took a few pictures during the hunt. Easter Bag: Easter Egg Hunt! What is happening here?  Uncle Tio Arby is actually holding Candor.  Arby said that he doubted Candor even realized he was there.  Candor was just better positioning himself to watch tv over the couch.  Arby was kind of a prop.  A means to an end. Whatever is it...I doubt I will ever see this again.

We got to go to Xander's birthday party again this year.  It was at the Hoppin House again.  Since Candor is a bit bigger than last year he had so much more fun. Here is a pic of Candor at Xander's party last year.  What a little chunk he was!  He can and still wears the clothes he has on!  Now they are a little big on him.  Ha!

We took Candor downtown to SXSW this year.  People...Music...Dancing....he was in his element! We started off the day by having coffee at Joe's.  Candor may look all sweet and innocent eating his animal cracker but 5 seconds after I took this pic he tossed it into the middle of the table beside us.  It was of course filled with a few pretty girls.  I was mortified....Candor smiled at them. We then hit the streets seeing what trouble we could get into. Hey guys welcome to SXSW! Candor loved sitting backwards in the stroller listening to the bands.  We were standing outside of one venue watching the band.  Candor was smiling and dancing like crazy.  At the end of the song the drummer shouted.... 'That baby is rocking it!'.  Todd and I were proud! :) Candor loved walking around on Todd's shoulders so he could see all the action.

Our little ham is now 19 months old! He loves copying other kids....even if that means wearing butterfly wings. His favorite thing to do is to go for walks in his wagon or car.  We found a dog in the neighborhood that we say hi to everyday.  Candor loves him. He, however, is not so sure of us yet. He likes breakfast tacos.  His other favorite foods are gold fish, animal crackers, waffles, juice packs, and of course apple chicken. His favorite shows are Barney and Dinotrux. His favorite Friday night activity is to go to Central Market and play on the playground and dance to the band. His new trick this month is making pouty faces for no other reason but to make you laugh.

Nana, Poppy, G, & PaPa had not been to visit since Christmas.  They all were itching to see Candor so they all decided to come on Valentines week! Nana and Poppy came on Tuesday - Friday.   On Tuesday night we all walked to our church for a pancake supper.  After the supper Nana and I went to a card making class and the boys came home and did the bedtime routine. On Wednesday we went to swim and then we went to the trail and fed the ducks.  Candor loves looking at the ducks and feeding them bread. That night Nana and Poppy watched Candor while Todd and I went to a movie.   Playing with bubbles. Dinner at the Little Deli. Nana reading to Candor before tucking him in for the night. After the movie Nana and I made all of Candor's Valentines treat bags for school the next day!  We had Monster Truck Valentines Day cards with cookies.
