Xander turns 5

It is March and you know what that means.......we get to go to Xander's birthday party!  This year it was held at the Austin Zoo.  Candor looked forward to it for weeks! It rained all morning before we were suppose to head to the zoo.  Since it rained Candor got to wear his rain boots (funny enough they are Xander-me-downs) for the first time.  He loved them. Xander greeted us at the zoo entrance! Once inside we got some animal food so we could feed several of the animals.  Candor was a bit scared to actually feed any though. After looking at all the animals it was pizza time!  Candor was pumped. After pizza the zoo workers put on a little animal show. Then we grabbed our party favor and home we went.  It was awesome!! In case you forgot here are Xander's 3rd and 4th birthday pictures.  Candor has grown so much! Xander's 3rd birthday party:  Candor is the chunky little baby with the pacifier in his mout...

31 Months!

Candor is now 31 months old! He loves... his best friend Jake, hanging with 'MY DADDY' as he calls Todd, cooking cereal or salads, picnics in the backyard, and most of all this month he loves dressing up and using his imagination.  He is either a construction worker and building things   or a fireman rescuing kitties from trees. Sometimes if he is feeling extra spunky he dresses up like a fireman butterfly!

Dentist (2nd Visit)

Candor went to the dentist this week for his second visit.  The first visit, 6 months ago, was somewhat of a disaster.  He cried the entire 4 minutes it lasted. This time, however, he was AMAZING!  The days leading up to the appointment we talked about him 'getting' to go to the dentist.  We talked about how much fun it was going to be and how the nice dentist was going to brush and look at his teeth. I told Candor if he listened to the dentist and didn't cry then we could do whatever he wanted to after the dentist.  He requested to go to the toy store and get ice cream!  I said - OK!! On the drive to the dentist I reminded him if he was good that we could go get ice cream and then go to the toy store. Well............he was SPECTACULAR!  I seriously could not believe what a perfect little boy he was.  I was sooooooooo proud of him! Waiting in the waiting room for our appointment. We made it back to the room.  There was a TV on...
