Dentist (2nd Visit)

Candor went to the dentist this week for his second visit.  The first visit, 6 months ago, was somewhat of a disaster.  He cried the entire 4 minutes it lasted.

This time, however, he was AMAZING!  The days leading up to the appointment we talked about him 'getting' to go to the dentist.  We talked about how much fun it was going to be and how the nice dentist was going to brush and look at his teeth.

I told Candor if he listened to the dentist and didn't cry then we could do whatever he wanted to after the dentist.  He requested to go to the toy store and get ice cream!  I said - OK!!

On the drive to the dentist I reminded him if he was good that we could go get ice cream and then go to the toy store. Well............he was SPECTACULAR!  I seriously could not believe what a perfect little boy he was.  I was sooooooooo proud of him!

Waiting in the waiting room for our appointment.

We made it back to the room.  There was a TV on the ceiling and he could choose to watch whatever tv show he wanted.  He picked Dinotrux!

Dr. Hughes (the dentist) was so nice.  He told Candor that these were super power sunglasses and he needed to wear them while they looked at his teeth.  He happily obliged.. Hughes also talked to Candor about Monster Jam and how he was going in April to see them too!

Dr. Hughes cleaned all his teeth (20 total!), polished them, and then put fluoride on them.

When the appointment was over Candor got to choose a prize from the toy chest.  He chose a lemon.  So random but hey if he wants a lemon he gets a lemon!  The dental hygienist then took his picture to place on the wall.

Since they put fluoride on his teeth he was not suppose to eat or drink for 30 minutes so we headed to Target first instead of the ice cream shop.  He looked and looked and looked for a good 45 minutes at every toy they had.

He finally decided on a Mack the Dip & Dunk Trailer from the movie Cars.

Once back in the car he said he did not want to get ice cream and that he wanted to go home and play.  Well he played and played with his new toy.

He then quickly passed out for his nap after a great morning.

23 Months! (Townes)

My little man is now 23 months old! He is so happy, sweet and funny!  His days are spent laughing and smiling...with only a few tears thrown in there every once in awhile. His new favorite loves this month are dandelions and helping me do things. Townes can spot a dandelion from a mile away and insists on grabbing every single one of them. He also insists on helping me do everything.  Some things take a bit longer to do with Townes helping but I'll take them taking out the trash everyday! His favorite foods is still tacos.  He gets fired up anytime we mention tacos and starts chanting....'TACOS! TACOS!'. He loves soccer balls.  One day he had a fit to try on one of Candor's soccer uniforms.  I have never in my life seen anyone so proud.  He was glowing and thought he was so cool like his big bro. Todd ordered them both a new Liverpool kit which was also Townes first soccer kit of...

15 Months! (Candor)

Candor man is now 15 Months old!  He is a bundle of energy and never stops.  He has two speeds... 0mph (asleep) and 100mph (ALL other times). He has become a super funny little guy.  On the daily information sheets I get after school silly is always circled.  Mrs. Maggie and Mrs. Lauris says he really cuts up during nap time.  When everyone is 'suppose' to be napping Candor will get off his mat,  go over to the ladies (the little girls in the class),  squat down, and whisper "hey hey" so they will get up and play with him.  This Tuesday there was a new little friend in class named Miles.  Mrs. Maggie and Mrs. Lauris said that Miles and Candor did downward dog and giggled at each other all during nap time. His teachers think he is hilarious now but I bet the older he gets the less funny he will be.  He better enjoy it now!

Those Cheeks!

We went to Maria's Taco Express for breakfast today....at noon. Late start to the day. Candor was cutting up a bit in his car seat so Todd picked him up. After a few minutes of laughing he passed out on Todd's shoulder.
