2016 Thanksgiving

Todd took off Thanksgiving week this year.  We decided to stay in Austin and just hang out.  It was so much fun. We...... Rode on the Zilker Zephyr. Did a bit of computer work. Went to the Hoppin House. Had an early Thanksgiving meal at Florio's house.  Candor was a big fan of Mr. Florio and June and Barney (Florio's cats). Put up the Christmas tree. Read lots and lots of books. Had shrimp and grits for Thanksgiving for the second year in a row.  I think it is our thing now.  So good! Ate too much pie...  I blame Arby for the 17 lbs I gained. Went to the Dinosaur Park. Played in sandboxes. Played on playgrounds. We then closed the week out by eating at Maudies.  It doesn't get better than this!

28 Months!

Candor is now 28 months! Ooops - wrong pic. Ok this one is better. He is so much fun right now. His speech is rocketing! Each day, he seems to know 50 more words than the day before. You also better be very careful with what you say around him because he will be saying that too! He understands everything and knows how to use his words to tell you exactly what he wants. And, he can tell you exactly what you are doing wrong! Ha. He has also started telling me what has happened at school. The other day over supper, I asked him what happened at school.  He said, "Shiloh cried". I asked, "why?" He said, "Shiloh toy fell on head and he had bo-bo." I then asked if anything else happened. He said, "Shiloh poopoo in potty!" I then asked him if he wanted to poopoo in the potty and he said, "NO!" Sigh..... Maybe one day. He LOVES his family, friends, and toys. EVERY night before he falls asleep he asks (in no particular order) ...

27 Months!

Our little ham is 27 months old! Some of his favorite things to do in life are to play, eat cookies, play, eat french fries, play, eat cheese pizza, play, eat oatmeal and play.

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, BEETLEJUICE!

Candor had the best Halloween ever.  We decided to all dress as Beetlejuice characters.  Candor dressed as Beetlejuice, I was Miss Argentina and Todd was Harry the Hunter.  Everyone loved our costumes.  Actually they loved Todd and Candor's costume.  I was just an added bonus.  I felt famous for the night as everyone wanted to take our picture. We started out the night by going to our neighbors annual pre-trick or treat party. Candor's buddy Parker dressed as Bob the Builder which happens to be one of Candor's favorite shows.  Candor was amazed. We then hit the streets.  Crestview is definitely the place to be on Halloween.  There were literally hundreds and hundreds of kids, movies playing in peoples yards and bands playing. Candor had SO MUCH fun trick or treating.  Actually he liked the trick or treating part but LOVED the candy part.  This was his first time to eat candy really and he was obsessed. ...

Eye Ball

Candor brings home art work all the time from school.  Usually I ask what the drawing is of and he does not say much.  Today though he was so proud and told me he drew an eyeball! This is the most beautiful eyeball I have ever seen!

Parent Teacher Conference

Todd and I met with Ms. April for Candor's first parent teacher conference.  Here is what she had to say..... He loves to give hugs and be cuddled. He is super sweet and caring. He has a big crush on Ms. Susie (The 2 yr old teacher).  Whenever I ask Candor about Ms. Susie he get a big smile on his face. At lunch time he sometimes uses his sandwich as a telephone.  He will put the sandwich up to his ear and say 'HELLLLO!'.  The other kids think this is funny and then they join in. At lunch time while Candor is sitting in his chair he will also act like he is falling out of his chair and go 'WOOOOOAAAAAAAAAA WOOAAAAAAAA WOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAA!!!'  This other kids again think this is funny and start doing the same.  He is very interested in everything around him. and finally Candor brings so much joy and energy to the classroom. We all love Ms. April and are happy things are going so well.
