Candor goes to Townes

And just like that....summer comes to an end.  With the end of summer also comes the end of summer school. Candor had a magnificent Summer with Sunny and all his classmates. The last day of school was also a splash day.  Candor was a hot mess by the time i went and picked him up.  

Earlier this summer an event was held at the Palmer Event Center called Discover the Dinosaurs.  Since Candor has a love for dinosaurs we took him.  It was actually awesome.  We looked at all the different dinosaurs and then at the end they had a putt putt course and some bouncy houses. Candor had so much fun.  That night at around 9:30 (his normal bedtime is between 7 and 8) we were STILL trying to get Candor to sleep.  He would just look at me, smile, and roar like a dinosaur over and over and over.  I wondered if he was thinking about his day and how much fun he had.

Candor's 2nd Big 1.  Does that sound familiar and does the invite look familiar? We kept trying to come up with a title for Candor's second birthday party but couldn't come up with anything clever. We then came up with a brilliant idea....or at least I thought it was brilliant.  His first birthday party was Candor's Big 1 so we just decided to just play on that and call it Candor's 2nd Big 1.  We also used the same invite but changed the picture.  Now going forward we will just change the picture and it will be the 3rd big one, 4th big one, and so on until he is 100 +! The theme of the party was hot dogs.  We transformed our dining table to a hot dog stand.  We had buns, wienies, a TON of different condiment, chips, goldfish, cupcakes, and Nana's famous 2 cookies (Nana - next year I promise you can put sprinkles or icing on them). Outside we had a pool, a sprinkler, a water table, lots of toys and a pinata.  Candor ended up having about 15 ...

This was the morning of Candor's appointment. Every time I look at this it makes me laugh. I mean we have Todd sound asleep cuddling Puppy. Candor is laying in the wrong direction resting his foot on Todds shoulder. They are two peas in a pod.  Oh and sorry Todd!  I 'forgot' to get your ok on this before I posted this picture.  Once I rolled those two out of bed we headed to see Dr. D. Now when we walk in the office Candor will name each animal by making their sound. Who doesn't want to make an entrance by roaring loudly.  Todd has made it to every single one of Candor's checkups. Best dada ever! Overall Dr D. said Candor was doing fabulous and right on track.  He is 35 inches long and weighs 27.8 lbs.  A few funny things Dr. D. said were: -When discussing how many words Candor now says...He said don't worry if he is not saying the ABC's and counting to 20 like that random kid at the park. Those kids are the bane...

Our little booger bear is 2 years old!?!?   That is 24 months or 730 days or 17,520 hours or 1,051,200 minutes or 63,072,000 seconds.  Sometimes it feels like it has been 20 years and other times it feels like it has only been 20 seconds.  He is a beautiful, smart, observant, mischievous, kind-hearted, gregarious, adventurous little boy all rolled into a 27 pound little body.  We love that little dude with all our heart.
