Largest Bean Bag in all the Land

AK purchases the most unusual items on Amazon. She then tells me about these purchases and really talk them up. A recent purchase was the hugest bean bag you have EVER seen in your life. Seriously it's huge! Pictures do not do it justice. Well after hearing her explain to me how wonderful it is I had to buy one for myself. Worst decision ever. No one and I repeat no one should own a 6 foot bean bag.  Since we are selling our home I needed to get rid of the bag. Who could I pawn this bag on??? Well, everyone has a friend in life (if you don't - find one) that when the two of you get together random chaos ensues. My person is the one and only Rohit. I can always count on him to say and do the most unusual but hilarious things. With that said...Rohit is the perfect person to ask if he wants a huge bean bag because he will say "Of course!". Below are the photos of us trying to jam the bag in his car. After attempting to go through the trunk we succeeded in going t...

Todd turns 38!

On Tuesday Todd turned 38.  Man - that is OLD!  We celebrated with dinner, dessert and presents!

Michael Phelps WHO??

Since Candor adores bath time, I signed him up for a 19 week swim class at Emler Swim school. This week he attended his first class.  AK joined us for moral support and to be our photographer.  It was so much fun!  During class we swam, sang songs, 'jumped' off the side of the pool and went down the slide.  Next week Ms. Amanda (Candor's teacher!) said that Candor would go under water for 1 second! After showing the picture to Papa, he decided Candor's new name is Aquaman and mine is Aquamom.   Emler Swim School: Changing into our Swim pants: Swim Class: Candor was cutting logs before we even left the parking lot.  Swim class really tuckered him out.

6 Month Visit to Dr. D.

If you recall, our 4 Month Visit with Dr. D was somewhat of a disaster.  This visit I made sure to pack extra clothes, diapers, wipes, and pacifiers!  I was going to be prepared for whatever Candor decided to throw my way. Since I was so prepared, Candor decided not to throw any curve-balls.  Dr. D. once again said he was perfect.  He weighed in at 18lbs 7oz and is 26 1/2 inches long. Candor was a happy boy until he received his shots.  He cried for a minute but once he realized he was getting Thor and Hulk band-aids he became happy again.

Papa & G's 41st Wedding Anniversary

Papa and G came to Austin this past weekend to celebrate Todd's birthday and their 40th anniversary. Wow!  41 Years! When they arrived in Austin they stopped by the house to see Candor.  2 days before Candor realized he could sit up on his own so he was showing off his skills to Katie and Poppy. He becomes so proud of himself when he is sitting up but when Poppy, Katie, G, and Papa were watching he really put on the charms with smiles and laughs! After Candor went to bed Papa wanted to play Scrabble to see if he could redeem himself from our New Year's Eve game.  Unfortunately, he did not.  Maybe next time Papa....maybe next time. The next day Candor's Uncle Tio Arby, Todd, and I went to look at houses while Papa and G watched Candor.  Their day was filled with hugs, play time, walks, and naps. We can't wait until they come visit again!

6 Months!

Candor is now 6 months old!  Pats on the back to Todd and I for keeping the little man alive and pats on the back to Candor for putting up with us! Candor is pretty amazing....probably a genius.  He can roll around, sit up, and his smile melts our hearts.  Happy half birthday little man. See below to take a walk down memory lane. 5 Months: 4 Months: 3 Months: 2 Months: 1 Month:

One Penguin and One Nut Job

Crafty Candor pulled out his paints this morning and decided to make a penguin!  Picture time was a bit of a struggle.  When he almost fell off the chair I decided the photo shoot was over.
