2018 Individual School Pictures (Candor & Townes)

Candor and Townes had school pictures taken a few weeks ago.  The pictures were taken a week before Townes started school so I was unsure of how he would react to a stranger taking his picture.  Well, little man nailed it.  Both of them did!  Here are a few behind the scene photos. And....here are the final photos.  I mean, I seriously don't think they can get any cuter!

2018-2019 First Day of School! (Townes)

On Monday, October 1 my sweet little baby went to his first day of school!  I was so nervous but I knew it was going to be so good for the both of us.   That morning he woke up happy and raring to go! How beautiful is he?!?! When we got to the room he was super happy to be there and he and Candor immediately starting looking at all the trucks. The moment we had to say goodbye to him he lost it as did I when I got to my car.  I was so sad and could not quit thinking about him.  Thankfully, 5 minutes later Ms. Andrea (the awesome preschool director) sent me a text with the below picture saying he was happy as could be! Townes will be going to school on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and Candor goes on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  I picked those particular days so I would have some one on one time with Candor on Monday, one on one time with Townes on Wednesday, Tuesday and Thursday by myself and Friday we are all togeth...

2018 Bike Bash

The preschool had their annual Bike Bash a few weeks ago and Candor and Townes both had a blast.  Candor never once quit riding his bike the entire time.  At one point he told Todd to quit following him and he told me to quit talking to him as he needed to focus.  Pretty soon he will probably tell us we are embarrassing him.  Sigh...I'm will be beside myself the day that happens. The preschool was raffling off a bike and Candor won.  Below Ms. Andrea had just announced Candor was the winner and Candor, Todd, and Townes went up to collect his bike.  Candor was so excited!  The bike is pretty big so it will be a couple of years until he actually gets to ride it. Here we are leaving.  Everyone was calling us the orange family.  Ha!   All of our bikes would not fit in the car so Todd and Candor had to ride home.  Todd rode the new bike along side Candor.  Candor thought it was pretty c...

50 Months! (Candor)

My beautiful little dude is now 50 months old! Candor is absolutely loving school and having Mr. Jeff as his teacher.  I love Mr. Jeff for many reasons but especially because he always displays pictures, art, and things they say. I bet you can figure out which one Candor said below. Candor's answer to 'How does the Turtle hide?' was 'Mr. Jeff moves him around.' And my favorite was his answer to 'How old is daddy?'.  'So old!'  HaHa Here are a couple of other poems, art, and pictures Mr. Jeff has posted up in their room. I asked Candor how he knew he didn't like chicken because that boy sure has not had a piece of chicken even close to his mouth. He got to go to Todd's office.  He loves going downtown and walking around Todd's awesome office building.  He has been loving the 'Dance Patrol' videos.  They teach you all the letters and things that sta...

17 Months! (Townes)

My sweet little prince is now 17 months old! He is still a busy little bee and his patience with me trying to take his monthly picture is quickly fading.  Unfortunately for him he has a lifetime to go of monthly pics! Townes is only 17 months but he thinks he should act like a big boy.  That means ditching his highchair.  Man, he despises that chair and kicks and screams 70% of the time when I try to put him in it.  Every time he does this it reminds me of the story Nana always tells of how when AK and I were little girls we would go out to eat.  At one particular place we would go they had little kid plates (I remember they were blue) and regular plates.  I was still young enough to get the little kid plate but I would pitch a fit and make Nana and Pop Pop fork over the extra dollars so I could get a regular plate like AK. In the mornings when he has oatmeal I do insist he sits in his highchair.  The days of feeding him (...
