Candor goes to Townes

Candor and I did our first craft project.  There were no fights and it 'kind of' looks like Frankenstein so I give it an A+!

On Mondays the library by our house offers a class for babies called Books and Babies.  During the class we sing songs, read stories, and play.  Candor absolutely loves it.  He stares and smiles at the teacher during sing time and stares at the other little ones during play time.  Here is a picture from this Monday.  I'll try to get a better one next week.

Vincent and Chantik invited us to their house for brunch on Sunday.  It was so fun to see everyone and Candor got some loving from some of our friends. Tia Vera:   Tio Arby:   The brunch crew minus Arby the photographer:

Todd, Candor, and I were invited to Antonia's house for a Halloween party.  I would say Candor's first Halloween was a success! Us dressed as Austin Powers, Dr. Evil, and Mini Me.   Candor and his new friend Asher.   Candor showing off his muscles.   Candor and Xander.   Todd and Candor hanging.

G turned 68 last Thursday.  Her and Papa were heading to Horseshoe Bay for the weekend to golf and decided to stop by our house on the way.  They came Thursday afternoon and we had a jam packed night! First there was play time with Candor, G, and Papa.  Then came Candor's favorite part of the day....bath time!  We all sat around and ogled over Candor while he splashed around in the tub. Then Papa gave Candor his bottle. Finally it was party time!  Todd and I prepared a Mexican feast for G's birthday.  We had chicken fajitas, guacamole, rice, and beans.  After supper it was time for presents and cake.  It was such a fun night and we were lucky to be able celebrate with G! I CANNOT believe I did not get a pic of the birthday girl and Candor!

Todd and I are Candor addicts.  In the mornings before Todd goes to work we almost always wake him up so Todd can get some snuggles and baby smell on him.  Candor is always so sweet and happy.  We made him a play list of his favorite songs and play them to him.  He smiles and sings (coos) them to us.  Currently the list consists of: Ben Harper - Beautiful Boy Milky Chance - Stolen Dance Old Crow Medicine Show - Wagon Wheel The Best of Mozart Beatles - Yellow Submarine Eddie Vedder - Imagine 2014 My Morning Jacket - Rocket Man Iron & Wine - Waiting for a Superman Iron & Wine - Love Vigilantes Your are my Sunshine Taking Heads - This Must Be The Place

Kristin came over the other day to watch Candor while I went to the grocery store.  While I was gone I received the following text.... The beast is up   and I'm hungry   

Paul and Meredith bought Candor a Bumbo seat before he was born.  He is finally strong enough to sit in it! This morning we did some shopping for our amazing Halloween costumes.  Candor had the best time. I also want to just throw this gem in that AK took yesterday because he is just stunning.  

Candor made his first trip to Louisiana a few weekends ago.  He got to meet Aunt Joy, Uncle Benny, Aunt Nancy, Uncle Max, and Gary for the first time!  As you can see from the photos Candor loved Uncle Benny the most.

Last week Todd took vacation from work.  We got out of the house as much as possible and Candor had many firsts! Monday we recovered from traveling to Louisiana over the weekend. Tuesday, we went to Baby Day at the Alamo Drafthouse and saw The Judge .  We were the only ones in the theater and Candor did great! Wednesday we took the Baby Bjorn and hiked the Greenbelt.  Candor loved everything except the bright sun.   Thursday we went to Central Market and grocery shopped.  Candor loves sticking out his tongue these days. Friday we went to Freddie's with Arby for a late lunch.  It was Candor's first time to eat at a restaurant with wait service. Saturday our neighborhood had a block party.  It was Candor's first time to wear khaki's and a belt.  He was a hit among the neighbors!  

Candor finally got to meet the Curran's!  It was so wonderful to finally introduce Candor to Dewana, Blake, Addison, Alyssa, and Buddy!
