Candor goes to Townes

Todd (and I) had a great Father's Day this year!  Todd was in Chicago for work during Donuts with Dads at the preschool so I got to take them. The boys made these cute little donut art pieces at school. The boys and I made this for Todd. Candor also insisted that we get Todd a new soccer ball.  Did we not do such a good job wrapping it?! On Father's Day morning the boys showered Todd with all his presents. How awesome are these socks with their photos on them. They then played soccer the rest of the afternoon with Todd's new soccer ball! Happy Father's Day to the best daddy to our two little maniacs!

After 14 long years AK decided to leave Walgreen and join Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy.  In switching pharmacies she will now be working Monday - Friday and not have any days off during the week.  I'm happy for her but so sad for me as we will miss hanging out with her and Navy. For one last hoorah before she started at her new job we decided to take the littles to Volente Beach and then have a sleepover.  The boys were so excited for the waterpark and the sleepover.  Candor was the most excited about having a midnight feast.  I have never heard of this but he learned about it watching Peppa  Pig. Annnnnd.....we are off to begin our adventure. Volente Beach was so much fun.  They had a kid area, a big swimming pool and several big water slides.  We will have to come back and do the water slides when they get a tad bigger. After we left Volente Beach we went back to AK's and played the rest of the afternoon....

Candor and Townes had the best time at preschool this summer.  I signed them up for Stay & Play so I picked them up at 2 instead of 1.  We all loved the extra hour.  I got so many things done and the boys got in a little extra playing.  We are sad the session is over but are looking forward to just hanging out with each other for the next three weeks until school starts!

My little munchkin is now 27 months old! It was a big month for my little dude.  He picked out his first pack of undies. PJ Masks for the win! AND he pooped in the potty for the first time?!?!  He does pretty well peeing in the potty but he has never pooped.  He (and I) were both super pumped!  Oh what a glorious day it will be when I don't have to change anymore diapers! Townes got his very own Woom balance bike. He has not quite figured it out but we are working on it and he is a determinied little booger.  Plus, he thinks he is way cool. The rest of the month he has played pretend in his dress up clothes. It is literally non-stop. Yes, he is actually napping in is Cat Boy mask.   Happy 27th month birthday my sweet T.  We love you!

We had Candor's birthday party on Saturday, July 20. We had so much fun prepping for the big day.  Candor has really been into the Avengers lately so he decided to have an Avengers theme.  I even made arrangements to have Captain America stop by! We went to Party City a billion times shopping for decorations. We bought Captain American and Iron Man swimsuits for the party.  Candor decided to Call Townes Iron Messy instead of Iron Man as Townes destroys everything in his path!  I have to admit, Candor is pretty spot on. Todd and the boys re-stained the deck. Candor picked out his birthday plant. Finally, we made all the goody bags. The morning of the party the boys were so excited.  They had a quick breakfast. We all then quickly got dressed and put the final touches on the decorations. All of the guests started pouring in at 10 and everyone got to playing.  They all had a blast...
