Letter From Santa

Candor received a letter from Santa in the mail this week. The return address was from Richmond, TX. Either Santa moved to Richmond or Dewana is a pseudo Santa. Either way Candor was ecstatic and is super excited to see what Santa will bring him.

Armadillo Christmas Bazaar

Todd, Candor, and I went to the Armadillo Christmas Bazaar last weekend.  We shopped, ate, and listened to some live music.  Candor loved to look at everything and everyone. Toward the end he decided he had enough so he went back to chewing on his foot.  This guy has no manners! Candor with the items we purchased at the Bazaar to put up in his room.

5 Months

Candor is 5 months old today! To celebrate we had a photo shoot, went for a walk, he rolled from his back to his stomach for the first time, had a couple of wardrobe changes, and he took several naps. Candor has a tough life.

Avocado

Candor tried avocado this week. He is not a fan.....yet. Next week --carrots.

Daddy Day

On the weekends sometimes I get some me time and Candor and Todd have Daddy Day! During Daddy Days, Candor and Todd do manly stuff such as go to the tool store, wash cars, or lay around in their jammies all day. It is a lot less structured when I'm not around. Today was a Daddy Day. Candor was excited to wake up and learn it was daddy day. All of these toys out at once would not fly when I'm around. It is kind of driving me crazy just looking at this picture. Lists I make for Daddy Day.

Santa and Candor Take 2

Candor got to go have milk and cookies with Santa at the Caswell House!! This was so fun to bring Candor to the house as it is where Todd and I got married. Every Christmas since 2009 Todd and I have been going to the house for their shopping event. They decorate the house and have lots of items for sale. We always buy our Christmas ornament for the year. Since Candor man is here we now get to go to Milk and Cookies with Santa as well. Todd ate the cookies and drank the milk and Candor got his picture with Santa. As you can see from the photos he has on the cutest little vest but he doesn't quite yet have enough neck to pull it off. Todd and I got our photo taken at this exact same spot way back when.

Mojica's Annual Christmas Party

Candor got to attend his first Mojica's Christmas Party this past weekend.  He schmoozed a bit and then went to sleep while the big people ate did our white elephant gift exchange. Stimulating conversation between Uncle Tio Arby, Candor, Catherine, and Dylan: Candor and Marina: Aunt Tia Vera, Candor, and Regina.  Photos are getting more difficult to take by the second. AND last but not least....Arby along with the white elephant gift Todd, Candor, and I brought.  I'm not sure what else to say about this.

This Month's Item of Value

Candor's Uncle Tio Arby came by Monday and brought Candor the hugest Snickers ever. What a better first meal to eat in your high chair than a snickers!

Rogan....errrr Rohit

Candor and I met Rohit for lunch this week.  Rohit said that cool people never look at the camera. Below is the first time Rohit and Candor met in late September.  I'm not going to say any names but someone has put on some weight in the past 3 months.

Kim and Odin

Auntie Kim came by this weekend and brought her new pup Odin.  There is so much cuteness in this photo I can hardly stand it.

What the What?!?!?!

Who is this big boy sitting in his high chair and where did my tiny baby go?? As Dewana said when I sent her the picture....  WHAT THE WHAT?!?!?! He absolutely loved sitting in his chair and watching me clean.  He is getting so big! Today Todd and I also scheduled our first overnight outing sans baby for next Friday.  It will be my first time away from Candor for more than 3 hours.  I already feel anxious.  Sigh...  Katie and Poppy will be staying at our house taking care of the boy.  They are super excited and I'm sure they will have a wonderful time.  I think I might even make Katie/Poppy be my first guest bloggers and blog about their night. Todd and I plan to run on the trails, hit the town, have some dinner, listen to music, and do whatever.  I am really looking forward to sleeping without the baby monitor and to have an uninterrupted dinner. Speaking of uninterrupted dinners or interrupted dinners I guess I should say.... ...

Rudolph

My little artist is at it again. He also got a new pair of sunglasses (Babiators) that he wanted to show off as well.

Trail of Lights

Last night Todd, Candor and I went to the Trail of Lights.  We paid $30 to get zip passes that let us in an hour before everyone else.  It was worth every penny as it felt like we had the place to ourselves along with 50 of our future best friends and their kids!  We looked at all the lights and ate grilled cheese sandwiches and crepes.  I thought about having a hot chocolate but it was way to warm for all that.  Only in Texas do they have a snow cone stand set up in the middle of December. Obligatory selfie on the way: Entrance: Candor look towards the camera!: Momma/Baby fun: Crepes and Candor throwing a peace sign: Ferris Wheel: Zilker Christmas tree: Cutest reindeer in all the land: .
