My man with the plan Candor is now 51 months old! How big does he look in his monthly pictures?!?! Holy kamoly.
Candor is still thoroughly enjoying school. Here is the Big News in the Turtle Class this month. His is the last one that says, "Me and mom are cops and daddy and Townes are robbers.". You will understand what he is talking about when I post my next blog.
He is also really enjoying playing in the sandbox at school. On Tuesday and Thursday he and Jake play with trucks in the sandbox. On Wednesday Candor, Liza, and Brynnie play Paw Patrol in the sandbox. Everyday when he comes home from school he immediately sits on the rug and takes off his shoes. On this particular day he took his shoes off and so much sand fell out of his right shoe. This picture absolutely does not do it justice. It was a massive pile. I was like Candor did you not feel all that sand in your shoe!?!? He told me that he thought his sock was just bunched up and bumpy. Oh Lord help me. I honestly have no idea how he was able to walk with all that sand.
This month Candor chewed gum for the first time. He has since chewed a few more pieces. He only keeps it in his mouth for 3 or 4 minutes and then he is done.
He made his first skid mark on his bike. You can barely see it under his right foot but he was so incredibly proud of it.
We raised his handlebars on his Strider to the highest notch they would go. It won't be long until the littlest bubba will be taking it over. He is already eyeing it.
He and his buddy Shayne had a few great play dates. They are a mess together.
How cool is this picture of the two of them?!
Every year the Preschool has a Preschool Work Day. On that day lots of the parents and kids volunteer to come up on a Saturday morning and fix/clean up the playground. Todd stayed home with Townes and Candor and I volunteered to go work. As crazy as it sounds we all had so much fun scooping new sand into the sandbox, picking weeds, and cleaning talbes.
This month Candor also got to hit another pinata. This kid has hit more pinatas in his life than you could even imagine.
Candor has still been loving playing with Legos. He has gotten so good that one afternoon we even broke out Todd's old Legos he had when he was a kid. I couldn't believe how little they have changed in 30+ years.
Finally one of the most entertaining things we did this month was stick ball pit balls in our leaf blower and blow them up in the sky. They shot out like rockets and Candor and Townes would try to catch them when they were falling. I don't think any of us have ever laughed that hard. It is the simple things in life I tell ya.
This beautiful little king of the castle had a great month but it ready to see what month 52 has to offer him.
