The past couple of years we would invite a couple of his friends and a couple of our friends. This year it was a straight up kid party! We had 16 little nut jobs running around.
Before the party we took him to Party City so he could pick out his decorations. We looked and looked at everything and he finally settled on a Hot Wheels themed party. We got Hot Wheels balloons, plates, napkins, table cloth, and table decorations. Since it's July and it's a billion degrees outside we also decided to grab some water items for the kids to play with in the backyard. We ended up buying a slip in slide that is for ages 5+. Smart right?
The morning of the party he was so excited that he ate his oatmeal outside while we got things set up.
Nana and Pop Pop got him a Gazillion bubble machine for his birthday and it literally shot out a gazillion bubbles. It was amazing. We had to test it out before the party.
Decorations and food are ready and now we are just waiting on the guests!
A short time later all the other little people started to arrive! Candor started the party by showing everyone his slide.
The kids all had the best time! One mom emailed me afterwards and said it was the best party because her daughter took a 3 hour nap afterwards!
Townes had a blast celebrating his big brother too but he had to divide his time between outside and inside as it was so hot!
This creeper also showed up for a bit too. Ha!
As the party was winding down Candor kept telling me that he was ready for everyone to leave so he could open up his presents. Once the last person walked out the door he got to work!
His all time favorite present was this crane Antonia, Stephen, Xander & Zoe got him. He could barely even breathe when he opened it.
