51 Months! (Candor)

My man with the plan Candor is now 51 months old!  How big does he look in his monthly pictures?!?!  Holy kamoly. Candor is still thoroughly enjoying school.  Here is the Big News in the Turtle Class this month.  His is the last one that says, "Me and mom are cops and daddy and Townes are robbers.".  You will understand what he is talking about when I post my next blog. He is also really enjoying playing in the sandbox at school.  On Tuesday and Thursday he and Jake play with trucks in the sandbox.  On Wednesday Candor, Liza, and Brynnie play Paw Patrol in the sandbox.  Everyday when he comes home from school he immediately sits on the rug and takes off his shoes.  On this particular day he took his shoes off and so much sand fell out of his right shoe.  This picture absolutely does not do it justice.  It was a massive pile.  I was like Candor did you not feel all that sand in your shoe!?!?  He told me...

18 Month Visit with Dr. D. (Townes)

Townes had a great 18 month doctors visit.  He weighed in at a whopping 29.2lbs and was 34.25 inches.  He is still perfectly proportioned all the way around (weight, height, head) in the 95th percentile. Townes seemed a bit worried when we first got into the waiting room. Todd then walked in and surprised him by taking off of work and joining us so he perked right on up! Dr. D. said he was perfect and we didn't need to come in again until he was 2yrs old!

18 Months! (Townes)

The littlest love of my life is now 18 months old! Townes has had a pretty spectacular month.  His vocabulary is incredible for a little dude.  He can say a ton of words on his own and he can repeat pretty much anything you ask him to.  He also understands everything you tell him or ask him to do.  He may not always listen to you but he most definitely understands. Townes also used the bathroom on the potty.....multiple times!  I am by no means expecting him to be out of diapers anytime soon but I will take this!  Each time he would run to either Todd or I and hold his diaper.  We would ask him if he needed to go to the bathroom and he would say 'yeah!'.  We took him in, stripped his diaper and he peed! We also ditched his nightly bottle this month.  At Townes' 15 month appointment Dr. D. said he recommends them to be off the bottle by 18 months so right before his 18 month dr. visit I tossed them all in the trash....

2018 Individual School Pictures (Candor & Townes)

Candor and Townes had school pictures taken a few weeks ago.  The pictures were taken a week before Townes started school so I was unsure of how he would react to a stranger taking his picture.  Well, little man nailed it.  Both of them did!  Here are a few behind the scene photos. And....here are the final photos.  I mean, I seriously don't think they can get any cuter!

2018-2019 First Day of School! (Townes)

On Monday, October 1 my sweet little baby went to his first day of school!  I was so nervous but I knew it was going to be so good for the both of us.   That morning he woke up happy and raring to go! How beautiful is he?!?! When we got to the room he was super happy to be there and he and Candor immediately starting looking at all the trucks. The moment we had to say goodbye to him he lost it as did I when I got to my car.  I was so sad and could not quit thinking about him.  Thankfully, 5 minutes later Ms. Andrea (the awesome preschool director) sent me a text with the below picture saying he was happy as could be! Townes will be going to school on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and Candor goes on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  I picked those particular days so I would have some one on one time with Candor on Monday, one on one time with Townes on Wednesday, Tuesday and Thursday by myself and Friday we are all togeth...
