15 Month Visit with Dr. D......errrr Dr. Amy White

Candor had a great 15 Month doctors visit.  We had to change his appointment time so we had to see Dr. Amy White instead of Dr. D.  Dr. White was sweet but we did miss Dr. D's laid back quirky style. Candor weighed in at 22.8 lbs and is 31 inches long.  He got two shots and cried like it was the end of the world.  During his visit Dr. White checked his ears and noticed he had an ear infection in both ears.  His nose had been running on and off for a couple of weeks and he had been a little grumpy but we thought it had to do with the other kids spreading germs with each other at school or teething.  He was prescribed antibiotics to take for 10 days.  After day 2 of the antibiotics he was a new person.  I wish I would have taken him in sooner to get them to check his ears.  Next time I will know! Playing around waiting on Dr. White. Candor's very first antibiotic. I brought him back after the 10 days and we saw Dr. D.  ...

15 Months! (Candor)

Candor man is now 15 Months old!  He is a bundle of energy and never stops.  He has two speeds... 0mph (asleep) and 100mph (ALL other times). He has become a super funny little guy.  On the daily information sheets I get after school silly is always circled.  Mrs. Maggie and Mrs. Lauris says he really cuts up during nap time.  When everyone is 'suppose' to be napping Candor will get off his mat,  go over to the ladies (the little girls in the class),  squat down, and whisper "hey hey" so they will get up and play with him.  This Tuesday there was a new little friend in class named Miles.  Mrs. Maggie and Mrs. Lauris said that Miles and Candor did downward dog and giggled at each other all during nap time. His teachers think he is hilarious now but I bet the older he gets the less funny he will be.  He better enjoy it now!

Uncle T Gets Married!

Back in May Uncle T got married to Aunt Molly!  The wedding was held at the Hotel Galvez in Galveston.  Candor even got to be a page in the wedding! On the way to Galveston: Playing in front of the Galvez: First time on the beach.  He had mixed emotions about this.: Handsome boys at the Rehearsal: Heading to the wedding.: Candor was pushed down the aisle by another page.  This picture is exactly how he looked when he would get into his car.  Pure joy! It was a beautiful wedding and Candor is so excited to have another Aunt!

14 Months!

Candor man 14 Months old!  He is now walking and rarely ever crawls.  He has officially stopped nursing.  Hooorah! He now gives hugs along with his kisses!  He can now say 'Whoooaaaa'.  I always say this when we are walking or running and now he says it.  He also says 'Moooooooo'.

School Boy

Candor started school!  It is actually Mother's Day Out (MDO) but calling it school is much more exciting. Many many moons ago Todd and I put Candor on the waiting list for the Mother's Day Out program at Hillcrest Baptist Church.  Well - the last week of August Mrs. Margaret (the MDO director) called and told me that Candor could start the following week on September 1!  I had been waiting for this call for months but once I actually got the call I panicked!  He has been with me pretty much 24/7 since he was born!  What would I do?  What would he do?  Would he be scared?  Would he miss me?Mrs. Margaret talked me off the ledge and reassured me that this was the best thing for myself and for Candor.  She said there would be tears from both of us but give her 6 weeks and Candor would no longer cry and be excited to come to school.  She said there was nothing she could do about my tears. Ha!  The night before school started Todd, Ca...

13 Months!

Candor man is now 13 Months!  He is still not walking but crawling faster than I can run.  He loves his toy cars and trucks.  He rolls them around and around and around the house.  He also likes to bang them on the glass windows and doors.  His favorite food is banana blueberry pouches and he can feed himself.  He also like sweet potato fries, tomatoes, and pickles.  He nurses once a day in the morning and the remainder of the day he drinks Whole Milk and water. He can also now give kisses!  I tell him to give me a kiss and he opens his mouth and pops one right on my lips.  Sweetest thing ever.
