Momma Needs a New Car!

Since Candor is so obsessed with cars, Todd decided to quit Hewlett Packard after 9 years and take a position at General Motors.  This is a great move for us all!

Last Day at HP:

Todd's team at HP threw him a going away party on his last day.  His team members from Georgia, Ireland, Galway and Singapore skyped into the party.

Todd's new team at GM is all based in Austin.  This means no late night / early morning phone calls from people in different states and countries and more time spent with me and Candor.

First Day of GM:

His new position also comes with a brand new free car for him every year!  This includes gas, insurance, car washes, oil changes, really anything and everything.  Goodbye Ruth (Todd's Subaru) Hello Veronica (Todd's new 2016 Buick Verano).

I also get (have to purchase - but is discounted) a brand new car every 4 years!  I am use to getting a car and driving it till the wheels fall off so this is crazy to me.  After saying a quick farewell to my loyal buddy of 9 years, Jane (my Altima)  I purchased a 2017 Cadillac Xt5.  Wow!  This girl is nice.  Her name is Betty and her theme song is Black Betty.  Listen to it (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqjoHKISCVU).  It is as awesome as she is!

Now for the really good part.  Todd can get his hands on all the miniature replica cars he wants.  Here is Candor's first Corvette.  He was pumped! 

I wonder if Candor will eventually start naming all his cars like we do...

23 Months! (Townes)

My little man is now 23 months old! He is so happy, sweet and funny!  His days are spent laughing and smiling...with only a few tears thrown in there every once in awhile. His new favorite loves this month are dandelions and helping me do things. Townes can spot a dandelion from a mile away and insists on grabbing every single one of them. He also insists on helping me do everything.  Some things take a bit longer to do with Townes helping but I'll take them taking out the trash everyday! Frankenstein

Candor and I did our first craft project.  There were no fights and it 'kind of' looks like Frankenstein so I give it an A+!

2018 Valentines

Townes and Candor had an awesome Valentines this year. In early February Candor and Townes made some sweet little Valentines for some of their friends. Candor then had his Valentines Day Sock Hop at his preschool.  A few hours before the dance I remembered I had signed up to bring cookies so we raced to the IGA and picked up our 'homemade' cookies! We then started getting ready for the big dance.  Once we got to the dance we headed straight to the photo booth.  Candor loved posing with all his friends and we could barely drag him away. Candor then headed for the dance floor.  He danced, played limbo, and ran around like crazy.  All the kids had so much fun.
