25 Months

Our little muffin is 25 months old! He has been so much fun this month!  Here are a few of my favorite things... He loves to pray and has started asking to pray before bedtime/naps.  He will hold his hands in the prayer position, say some gibberish, mention his trucks, and then say amen.  So adorable. He does not like being rocked at night and prefers to just lay down in his crib.  He will sometimes go to sleep on his own and other times we will have to hold his hand until he falls asleep.   When it is time for nap or bedtime and he doesn't want to go to sleep he will say poo poo, or snack, or water, or hug, or pray or really anything that he thinks will buy him some more time. He loves to take showers. He loves to wear Todd's shirts.  Sometimes when I am folding clothes he will see one of Todd's shirts and say 'Dadda shirt!'.  He will then bring it to me and say 'Me! Me!'.  This means he wants me to put it on him. One of his...

2016 - 2017 Sunshine

Summer is officially over and Candor has started school for the 2016-2017 school year.. He had a GREAT first day with all of his classmates and his new teacher, Ms. April. We had the choice to move him to the next class and let him be the youngest in the class or keep him in the sunshines and let him be the oldest.  We decided being the oldest in the class was best for him.  Ms. April did tell us that she can tell that he is a little older than the rest as he is more defiant.  She said that he will get a little twinkle in his eye and look at her when he is doing something he knows he shouldn't.  I know exactly what she is talking about! Candor is going Tuesday and Thursday from 9-1.  There are 4 little boys and one little girl in his class.  The boys are Candor, Jake, Shiloh, and Hamish.  We have not met Hamish as he will be starting later in the year.  The lone little girl is named Amity.  All of the kids and there parents are supe...

Last Day of Being a Sunshine in the Summer

And just like that....summer comes to an end.  With the end of summer also comes the end of summer school. Candor had a magnificent Summer with Sunny and all his classmates. The last day of school was also a splash day.  Candor was a hot mess by the time i went and picked him up.

Discover the Dinosaurs

Earlier this summer an event was held at the Palmer Event Center called Discover the Dinosaurs.  Since Candor has a love for dinosaurs we took him.  It was actually awesome.  We looked at all the different dinosaurs and then at the end they had a putt putt course and some bouncy houses. Candor had so much fun.  That night at around 9:30 (his normal bedtime is between 7 and 8) we were STILL trying to get Candor to sleep.  He would just look at me, smile, and roar like a dinosaur over and over and over.  I wondered if he was thinking about his day and how much fun he had.

Candor's 2nd Big One

Candor's 2nd Big 1.  Does that sound familiar and does the invite look familiar? We kept trying to come up with a title for Candor's second birthday party but couldn't come up with anything clever. We then came up with a brilliant idea....or at least I thought it was brilliant.  His first birthday party was Candor's Big 1 so we just decided to just play on that and call it Candor's 2nd Big 1.  We also used the same invite but changed the picture.  Now going forward we will just change the picture and it will be the 3rd big one, 4th big one, and so on until he is 100 +! The theme of the party was hot dogs.  We transformed our dining table to a hot dog stand.  We had buns, wienies, a TON of different condiment, chips, goldfish, cupcakes, and Nana's famous 2 cookies (Nana - next year I promise you can put sprinkles or icing on them). Outside we had a pool, a sprinkler, a water table, lots of toys and a pinata.  Candor ended up having about 15 ...
